This programme of study is also offered on a part-time basis. Please consult the Registrar's website for more information pertaining to courses offered by the University.
The course provides an opportunity to look at case studies and develop your own interest in a human society and its relative culture. Whether it's human behaviour, biology, culture and values in a past or present society, you will be encouraged to advance a unique perspective on any aspect of a human demographic. This can range from the environment, race, ethnicity, psychology, food, religion, urban development and medical practices. You will be tasked with writing on your chosen setting at length, which will sharpen your discipline in answering a research question in depth.
You are required to write a dissertation based on work of an advanced or original nature and to present your findings and conclusions in a scholarly manner in a dissertation carrying 80 ECTS credits. The main criteria of assessment of the dissertation are: originality in approach or content or a comprehensive and self-supporting study of a theme.
